The yard

The Gielissen Shipyard is located in Helmond. The floating homes are built by dedicated craftsmen and women. The yard was founded twenty years ago and has changed its focus over the years from building yachts to building houseboats.

The yard has every modern facility you can think of. There is a crane to lift the houseboat in and out of the water and a basin in which the MarinHome is tested and stabilised. The company's products reflect the founders' expertise, namely interior design and yacht building. The boats exude the craftsmanship of those two expertises. It is the basis of the perfectly finished and tasteful interiors of the various houseboats. Given that the yard keeps a close eye on any developments, the houseboats will always feature the latest innovations. The yard has opted to use only sustainable materials. This not only means low maintenance costs but also a remarkably high value in the event of a sale.

The yard is owned by Gielissen Interiors | Exhibitions | Events. That not only guarantees outstanding high quality, but continuity as well. After all, Gielissen Interiors & Exhibitions has grown, over a period of more than 75 years, to become a market leader in the Netherlands and one of the top five market players in Europe. The company's annual turnover is approximately 70 million.
Quality in even the smallest detail
The MarinHome is a Dutch quality product. You can see this in everything. First and foremost there is, of course, the high-quality finish which is intended to guarantee years of maintenance-free use.

The basis of the MarinHome is an aluminium hull. It is the foundation on which a solid holiday home is built which is fully capable of withstanding all the wet and windy conditions you might encounter on our waters. The boat comes with the CE quality mark as well as a category C or D handbook. Sustainability is something that water sports enthusiasts quite rightly regard as important and the MarinHomes offer precisely that.

The boat is built using sustainable and largely recyclable materials. In addition, the floating homes use remarkably little energy thanks to the use of high-quality insulation materials, HR++-glass and innovative technical systems. The fact that the MarinHome requires little maintenance also adds to the boat's sustainable qualities.
